Design as inquiry.
Art as research.
Inclusion as practice.
WHO I AM
I am a designer, educator, and researcher working between graphic design and human–computer interaction. Currently completing a dual MFA in Graphic Design and an MS in Human-Computer Interaction at Iowa State University, I teach undergraduate design courses that emphasize process, experimentation, and human-centered thinking. My practice and research explore how visual form, materials, and illustrated narratives shape perception, using iteration and making to study how color, texture, and structure communicate meaning. I approach design as both craft and communication, and my teaching grows directly from this studio-based, exploratory process.
